Retro Flamingo Adult Pool Party
Wow, it's already August 1st! For some of you that means the fall air will start blowing in, for others it just means it's a little bit hotter. - Pink Margarita Recipe: 1 1/2 oz. tequila, 1/4 oz. Campari, 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 oz. honey. Add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Serve on the rocks and garnish with a lemon slice and mint leaf. Recipe via Cosmopolitan

Geometric Party or Wedding - DIY Inspiration
- DIY Fondant Edible Geometric Cake Toppers: These don't look too difficult to make. You can buy pre-made fondant at a craft store (like Michaels) and color it with food coloring, then cut out the shapes with cookie cutters.
- DIY Geometric Piñata Tutorial: Made from cardboard boxes, masking tape & tissue or crepe paper.
- DIY Faceted Geometric Drink Stirrers: With just a few small supplies you can create these drink stirrers and paint them any color you like.
- Rockpool Jewel Soap $10.67 USD: I love these little jewel soaps. They would make the perfect party/wedding favor.
- Minimal Geometric Ombré Cake: These geometric pieces look like they are made out of fondant. As I mentioned above with the Geometric cake toppers... you can buy white fondant, roll, cut out the shapes & brush stroke edible coloring to give it the painted look.
- DIY Geometric Tissue Paper Lanterns: Inexpensive to make and great event decór addition.
- Geometric Napkin Inspiration: I did not find a DIY on this exact photo, but I did find this tutorial with printable geometric shapes. After they are folded & glued/taped, you could paint them or cover them with glue and glitter.
- Custom Printed Geometric Faceted Wedding Favor Envelopes: Available in multiple colors. Fill these little envelopes with flower seeds and they make a great wedding/party favor.
- DIY Wood Geometric Cake Toppers: Simple, inexpensive to make & customizable.

Party Ideas: pink Poodle
With so many daughters and granddaughters pink is a very popular color in our house! I designed this fun little pink poodle party for my little granddaughter who just turned three and she absolutely loved it! I made poodle skirts for each of my granddaughters (I chose to do them in a Chevron pattern which turned out really cute--I was worried that the Chevron might look funny since the zigzags would bend funny when sewn into a skirt, but they turned out to be adorable!) and the girls had a ball just spinning round and round in their skirts and seeing how big they could get their skirt to flare out! I found strands of pearls at Walmart in the fabric section that were sewn together (so I wouldn't have to worry about beads flying everying if the pearl strands broke) and they were perfect to give the poodles on the poodle skirts little pearl collars and to make the handles of the goody bags as well. I set up a dainty little tea party with kid friendly treats (cute plates with a popcorn cup, a fruit snack cup, etc...) and they were a big hit! The kids ate and boogied out to some fun music we had playing in the background and everyone had a good time. If you want to throw a Pink Poodle party, then I have everything already done for you!
