David Sears - Architectural designer and furniture designer, principal of David Sears Design. He began his career woodworking in California where he renovated period houses in the San Francisco Bay Area and had a cabinet shop in the city. He then began building furniture, finding new approaches to design problems. His interest in design led him to The University of Michigan School of Architecture, where his work was recognized at the prestigious Wallenberg Competition. Sears moved to Boston to pursue architectural design and continued to design furniture. In 2007 his furniture was exhibited at the Design for Multiples exhibition at ICFF in New York and in 2008 Sears debuted his line of sustainable modern furniture, the Cube Furniture Collection.
