I like the shape of a nude light bulb, really... I think is beautiful to see an spheric piece of glass shining. But, when we decide to dress that bulb with the appropriate lamp, sometimes we can reach something extraordinary.
Here are three examples of beautiful pendant lamps, that will transform any place in a magic one:
7Gods... believe me, you got to visit their site and watch all the lighting items that they have.
Criss Cross Nelson Lamps. So simple, so white, so nice ;)
Lujan+Sicilia. This grand light structures are just like an sculpture pending from ceiling. Wait to see the rest of the collection of this design studio... I mean, wait if you can.

Anderson Horta`s designs are special because they are not only (lovely) objects, they also express emotions. Anderson, who was born and lives in the Brazilian countryside city of Sabará, transforms his childhood memories into products. In addition, he has a very good understanding of different materials, such as acrylic and ceramics.
Anderson is still looking for a partnership, to begin a large scale production. In the meantime, he keeps a blog and a website, where you can buy his creations.
Take out your Luau lamp tonight, without any wires. Enjoy a great meal outdoor without worry for lighting, because this nice portable product, will bring you light for ten hours. I think is as romantic as a candle light, but more efficient (it works with led lighting). Take a look this list of features:
And how much it cost? 198 USD at DWR. I just fell in love again!
Via Cubeme.
Not only are the results a feast for the eyes (especially for typophiles like myself!), but the environment benefits from a little less landfill too.
What better way to thank these hard working little letters than taking them away from the hustle bustle of the roadside and welcoming them into your quiet, toasty warm house?! And better yet, they come complete with their diligent work ethic - the reinstalled LEDs have a life span of 30,000 hours, which means that if you leave them on for 8 hours a day, they'll keep working away for at least another 10 years. Everyone wins!
In honor of the upcoming Earth Day, I thought I'd share a couple of good deeds from eco-friendly lighting company, Lampa. The company has sponsored some great educational projects in their New York community. Check out this smiley bug designed by school children and made of laundry detergent bottles. The polar bears were constructed entirely out of plastic bags and the windmobiles provided a lesson in harnessing the potential of a new powersource. Lampa's entire line of wood veneer lighting is completely sustainable (no whitewashing here!) from FSC certified woods and environmentally safe processing to green packing and shipping materials. Check out Lampa for their colorful contemporary collection and for more info on the educational projects.
This beautiful and subtle lamp collection - table, floor. wall and pendant - was designed by Andrea Cerretelli (Italian) and Fabiana Andrade (Brazilian), and are for sale at La Lampe stores in Brazil. Not only they look great when the lights are on (look like wooden cocoons), but they`re also an incredible decorative accessorie when the lights are off.
