Nar

No matter how hard I try, my coffee table is always littered with magazines and books that I am constantly bouncing to and from.  Unal&boler's nar table is perfect for people like me, as the reading material gets to stay on the table but the surface of the table stays unoccupied for holding my coffee/remotes/beer/laptop.

“Nar” means “pomegranate” in Turkish. Pomegranate is a fruit that holds hundreds of juicy seeds inside. It’s a fruit that symbolizes fertility. Nar coffee table carries books and books carry ideas. Ideas can be destructive as much as they can be constructive. Our aim was to emphasize the danger and the dilemma it holds with utter nakedness.

Pretty cool and it can easily hold your place in the book.

Looks good...but storing books that way is a great way to ruin the book's spine so it doesn't get many functionality points from me...

hmm... but I think it would be alright if they were placed in there temporarily while being read and then shelved afterwards ? What do you think ?

I absolutely love this table! I believe this will be in my house in the future. I, also, agree that the book's spine will be alright if the hanging storage is only temporary.

This would be a perfect piece for a waiting room of any office.

Great response to this table... there aren't any details on buying this but you can contact unal&boler to find out more. info@ub-studio.com.
Be sure to let me know what the outcome is and if you purchase one be sure to send us a picture.

I don't know how I feel about the bottom base part, it feels a little too heavy. But I end up leaving books open all over my house, so I would use this for functional reasons. I think my cats would like it too.

available now. just send a mail to info@ub-studio.com
and does not damage books spine since "blades" are not sharp at all. they are "u" bent sheet metal attached upside down.
we'll add more pictures of it in a week. cheers
