The challenge of having an office / den while also wanting to accommodate a guest or two who might come to visit is that there is limited choices in the lower price point that are comfortable.  I'm working with a lovely couple of young professionals who have requested additional seating that can be converted into a bed for their office.  When not being used as a guest room, the sofa bed would provide a place for one to sit down to a casual conversation while the other is sitting at the desk.  With only a limited amount of space and the challenge of adding a furniture piece that is multi-functional while also comfortable - I begin  my sourcing.  Most pull-out sofa beds are not comfortable and I find it hard to convince a client to invest in a piece of furniture that is more gimmicky than functional.  I always say that if you are choosing to add furniture to your collection, always choose for comfort and style that is timeless.   Since there isn't really enough space for a pull out - here are my top choices.  There are many other options in the lower price point but there are always compromises in fabrication and material options.  The ones listed are in the higher price point but are timeless in their styling.  Chaises and day beds that are classic, timeless, multi-functional without the gimmicks, and most importantly - comfortable!
